Good TGIF Friday morning- uncertainty prevails with the S&P just mildly defensive and basically hoveirng.. above the 6520 level that might have hourly-basis significance (to wit if we're to get a washout and 'then' a turnaround, it would sort of fit a classic mold). However, most of this revolves around the War, worries of prices and a growth slowdown of course. But the flip side is a construction 'boom' in the Persian Gulf after the War, although Oil & Gas will be fairly high for awhile, but below current level surges; hence not an issue for Americans moaning as to retail Gasoline prices now (short-term thinking but sure it affects psychology during the time).
We also have a military weekend; more Navy ships and personnel headed 'that-a-way', and both today's finale to Quarterly Triple Witching Expiration, followed by the reaction to whatever happens over the weekend and I suspect a rebound 'if' the status-quo fundamentally is not changed much by Monday. Mostly Friday (today) is about 'writers' trying to hold stocks with significant Call open interest just below strike prices with the largest concentration (as they try avoiding assignments). Such stocks may be free to rally (where justified) thereafter.
Do note that Wednesday next wee we get (probably stronger) guidance from $ONDS (preliminary numbers already out); and we ought to get a rebound from the (specifics vague) after the close yesterday $UMAC offering (not specificed as really part of the Shelf Registration of April of 2025 so not really new; just activated so as to expand business and that's logical given their growth..up to 60k sq ft in Orlando so far.. and that's tripling manufacturing space. For those that want (but missed) UMAC, this pullback on the dilution might be a decent entry point; absorbing shares fairly quickly.
Also yields are higher; some talk of a rate hike; but that is nonsense given the pricing backdrop is War-related; not excess robust consumer activity (to say the least).
