First it was your gas tax. Then your tolls. Now your sales taxes. JB Pritzker's answer to every problem is the same: make you pay more.

Phase 1 of Pritzker’s transportation tax-hike agenda starts TODAY: 🔺 Aug. 1: 0.25% Chicago-area sales tax hike 🔺 Jan. 1: Delayed gas-tax hike 🔺 Jan. 1: Proposed 57% passenger toll hike 🔺 July 1: Another automatic gas-tax hike Four transportation tax hikes in 11 months. Illinois families are being forced to pay more for Pritzker’s failures.

Effective today—If you live in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, or Will County, your sales tax has increased. Residents will now pay an extra 0.25% NITA tax on general merchandise, groceries, drugs, medical appliances, vehicles, cannabis, and aviation fuel. Your everyday purchases just got more expensive—all thanks to the elected Illinois Democrats.

🚨 CHICAGO, YOU JUST GOT ANOTHER TAX INCREASE. Who raised your taxes? It wasn’t Washington. The Illinois General Assembly passed the legislation, and Governor J.B. Pritzker signed it into law. Beginning August 1, 2026, Chicago’s combined sales tax increased to 10.50%. The additional 0.25% is intended to help fund regional public transit, including the CTA, Metra, and Pace. For years, taxpayers have contributed billions of dollars to public transit through fares, sales taxes, state funding, and federal funding. Yet many residents continue to ask where the measurable improvements are. Earlier this year, a Cook County judge also ruled that approximately $243 million in transportation-related funds had been improperly diverted from their constitutionally dedicated purpose. Taxpayers deserve transparency, accountability, and results..not just another tax increase. Know who raised your taxes. Know where your money is going. Chicago Flips Red Flipsred.com #ChicagoFlipsRed

.@MaryAnnAhernNBC, before he leaves office, could you help ask @Giannoulias to clarify something for me and the people of Illinois? Did the Illinois Secretary of State's office issue a driver's license to Julio Cucul-Bol under the alias Juan Jahaziel Saenz Suarez? If so, what identity documents were accepted, and what verification procedures were followed? These aren't political questions. They're accountability questions. As a grieving father trying to understand how my daughter's preventable and foreseeable tragedy happened, and trying to find some measure of healing, I believe Illinois deserves honest answers. Katie and another young woman are dead. Three others were seriously injured. If the state's systems failed, the public has a right to know how, why, and what will be done to prevent it from happening again. Accountability is the first step toward both public trust and healing.

I haven’t officially made up my mind on who I’d support to be the next mayor of Chicago so don’t take this as an endorsement. I’ve already seen the Socialist in Chicago have a melt down over Kelly, Mendoza & even Wilson. They label them MAGA as though that’s a bad thing simply because they know the low-informed ppl will just run with it. I haven’t looked a lot into Kelly & what his policies are but it’s hard to argue with much from this video. The most important to me is he didn’t say black, white, Trump, ICE or tax the rich. He did say Chicago & Chicagoans though, that’s extremely rare to hear from Mayor Johnson or his comrades in city council.

This is my daughter's dog Henry. The day he became a member of the family and also just recently. He is currently crossing the rainbow 🌈 bridge. He was the best. Thank you Henry for all the love and fun you gave me. I am crushed. I will miss you everyday.

It’s crazy that between Epstein clients, Covid, and Russiagate that not one person has been arrested. Absolutely why so many people are fed up and disengaged. It’s a separate legal system for “them”.
