Snapshot closes in 3 minutes. Giving new holders a quick chance to join in while keeping things fair for our early holders affected by the backend exploit.

We’ll be taking a snapshot of all previous holders and airdropping the new supply accordingly once we relaunch. Why are we relaunching? The original developer wallet was compromised, meaning the attacker still has access to everything connected to that wallet including contract permissions. Because of that, we’re launching under a completely new wallet and redeploying everything from scratch. This ensures the attacker no longer has any access or control.

Our site’s backend and developer wallet were unfortunately compromised today. This happened due to the nature of our system’s setup and an oversight in how sensitive connections were handled. Our developer wallet was directly connected to @Aster_DEX for our autonomous trading agent. Because we were using Supabase for backend management, an attacker was able to exploit a vulnerability and gain temporary access to our wallet and backend data. We’ve since rehosted the site, rotated all keys, and patched the vulnerabilities that were used in the exploit. Everything has been rebuilt with tighter access control and isolated environments. It’s an unfortunate situation, one that’s tough to experience, but also part of the reality of building in public and on-chain. We can only learn from this, harden our systems, and ensure it doesn’t happen again. The new deployment is live and stable. We appreciate everyone’s patience and support while we got this fixed.

To clarify: Currently, Asteropus scans EVERY perpetual futures contract available on Aster DEX through its API. We figured it would be more effective to let the agent analyze all contracts in real time instead of limiting it to a few pairs.

To address the comments, this was completely out of our control. Anyone can make a token in seconds. That’s the double-edged sword of being on-chain 🙃 Next tweet will contain our contract address

+$10.83! Who would’ve thought a number could feel this good. Asteropus is up +$10.83 as we’re writing this. Seeing it actually work and make PROFITABLE trades is a different type of feeling. A little dev joy moment, back to building.
