We have some sad news to share. Former BBC Radio Sheffield presenter Gerry Kersey has passed away. Gerry was an enduring voice on BBC Radio Sheffield for many years, and Radio Hallam before that. He was such a gifted presenter and a wonderfully kind and supportive colleague off-air. He was also a talented artist. Our thoughts are with his friends and family.

@1867News And for clarity, we had a box with work at Huddersfield Town for a couple of years. Paid in 4 x installments and that was they offered, didn't even have to ask.

@1867News We had a box at Hillsborough, decided against renewing and in turn sponsored a local none league club. Best thing we ever did, puts money back in to local community and far less politics around. You can even stand behind the goal with a beer 🍺

The snow's beginning to cause problems in South Yorkshire. In Sheffield around 20 schools have closed early. Some bus services aren't running & the Supertram's no longer running on the Blue and Purple routes. Roads are clogging up as people head home early. bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-e…

@VodafoneUK how bad are your call centres? On holiday in barbados and can't access voicemail. Been on with your call center which I presume is not in the UK for 30 mins on stupid chatbot and still been asked stupid questions. What point of a business account ?

@BritanniaLtd Brilliant, you check in advance that your room has air-con, turn up to the Grand Hotel Sunderland to find not only it doesn't work but none of them do. Why tell people rooms have AC when they don't. Reception don't seem to care "you have a fan" was the reply.
