@astrabarks @iky_fwjett The new starter sounds on the toyotas are different than the 2000-2021 ones. All those v6 starters take 3 "rounds" and then the engine takes a deep breath. The new ones are 2 "rounds" and a slight huff (unless its the hybrid).

It's so wild that there are people who can identify cars by sight. Like instead of "brown truck" or "grey sedan" everywhere they go they're all "that Mazda Myopia is turning left beside the 2017 Chevy Stigmata". It must be like seeing those colors only shrimp can see.

@Venividivicvida @iky_fwjett i took it a step further a toyota tacoma/4runner/tundra/sequoia start is super distinct if you know exactly what to listen for i can identify an ecoboost via sound due to the fuel injectors and i can also identify engine configurations by sound, which is easier i suppose

@iky_fwjett Buddy, i can identify cars by sound. A honda starter sounds a lot different than a toyota starter, adding that first 3 seconds of the engine starting up.
