You know in retrospect is kind of ironic how in here people put apothecary diaries under such ridiculous scrutiny for not being “feminist enough” meanwhile over reddit Yao’s character gets constantly hated upon for being “too modern feminist-like”. Truly cannot win uhh.

Apothecary presents all these feminist issues but rarely does anything other than frown at it. They’re posed as uncomfortable facts of life instead of violent injustices. Not asking for a revolt, I liked Tale of Shim Cheong because it grants characters agency in feminism.

Apothecary Diaries isn’t trying to have its cast smash through a cultural and historical period of time, it instead puts focus on how a various cast of female characters adapted and survived to such oppressive environment. And plenty of violent injustices are also spelled out.

@xomyseries we might, it's likely an issue in-house; it could be anything from the contracted studio trying to continue with another one of their artists while kkp wants to switch to having a hard time finding a replacement artist (btw, most manhwas start planning 10 months before release)
