@EveryF_ingTime @astrojml @CuriosityonX Measuring these vast distances absolutely relies on assumptions. How could they not? We're talking about things supposedly 580 trillion miles away. Reason alone would be sufficient, but beyond that it is known.

Finding it in an exoplanet atmosphere is a POSSIBLE sign of life, but isnt super robust since its been found elsewhere in space since

Doesn't necessarily equal disproven, but sure as shit not supported
