What is your ultimate goal as an artist? 🐉: While my personal dreams and goals used to be more limited, they’ve broadened now. As I’ve gotten older and the times have changed, I feel the mutual influence we have on each other in real time. So now, I want to have as positive an impact as I can, within the scope of my abilities. Rather than leaving a specific legacy, I hope that when people look back in 20 or 30 years, they’ll think, “That was cool.” Not just in Korea, but globally. Just as I was influenced by great seniors who helped me get to where I am today, I hope that same spirit continues for the next generation. When I see a talented junior, I hope I can naturally say, “That’s cool” or “You’re doing great,” rather than competing or comparing myself to them. Honestly I wasn’t big on Taeyang as a solo because I’m not an R&B person and I associate that with him. BUT I have LOVED Quintessence!! I listen to it every day along with Another Dimension 💜

Taeyang is at a point in his career where he makes his own decisions. he explicitly said without a new sound dropping an album is meaningless. If he doesn't personally feel the music he simply won't release it. It’s fine if it’s not your taste but don't pass judgment he is genuinely proud of this experimental phase and it shows.
