I thought about it for a long time, maybe the first lesson to change should be to learn to enjoy my travel again. When I was in Milwaukee, Columbus and London in 2022, I naturally enjoyed every moment I stayed on the field because I knew I’m about to leave. But in the past 2024 season, I just kept running around in daily life and short trips on competition weekends. When my investment in VGC didn’t pay off, my weekend collapsed. But VGC is not everything, and I won’t come to these unique cities every year. If I can’t transfer the risk of not meeting expectations in VGC to enjoying the surprises of the trip, then I will only suffer from greater mental losses. This is just some late-night nonsense, but yes, I decided to enjoy the other parts of this journey again. The scenery, culture, friends, and ultimately those pearl-like memories.
