During my recent discussion with @ManOnThePen , the question of how much weight loss (WL) is typical for T2D patients came up. I've put together a table with this info. Key points to understand: ▪️Pay attention to trial length - longer trials generally lead to better WL results. ▪️T2D trials w/ metformin outperform those w/o ▪️T2D trials tend to have more men than the T2D WL trials, which leads to lower overall performance, as women tend to lose more than men in these trials ▪️Where there are gaps, it's because the manufacturer has not run a trial for that specific dosage or trial type. ▪️For CagriSema, know that when the treatment regimen numbers are finally reported, they will be lower than the efficacy estimand numbers. The treament regimen numbers are the numbers reported in the FDA label, so that's why I focused on those. Reta's TRANSCEND-T2D-1 stands out because that type of study generally has very poor performance relative to the other study types.
