To my understanding, chances of Iranian delegation returning to Islamabad within the next 48 hours or lesser are very, very high — Unclear at this point if the US - Iran talks go ahead in person, directly or not.

Ahmed Shihab-Eldin - a former AJ colleague - has been held in a Kuwaiti prison for six weeks with little to no access to his lawyer. He's been charged with "spreading false information, harming national security and misusing his mobile phone" - a new law enacted in Kuwait on March 15th includes "a provision carrying prison terms of up to 10 years for spreading false rumours related to military entities with the intent of undermining confidence in them." Some of his socials have been deleted and his last post was showing a publicly available video depicting a U.S. fighter jet crashing in Kuwait (one of three shot down by Kuwait, as later revealed). He is one of several journalists arrested by the Kuwaiti government and among many arrested by Gulf countries for simply sharing videos and images on social media. 313 people have been arrested by the Qataris, 375 by the Emiratis. It has been horrifying to witness but not surprising to see journalists especially targeted: we made journalists into acceptable targets of state violence in Gaza. That allowance has made every journalist vulnerable, unsafe and under threat. Free them all.
