This Ole Miss team is pretty brutal watch, particularly from an offensive standpoint. Feels like a good pitching staff is drowning in surrounding incompetence

I’ve had sometime away from our last game and honestly I’ve never left a game feeling the way I felt. So instead of complaining I’d like to offer a solution for all head of officials to consider moving fwd:
1. Put the block charge circle back in the game! Rationale: Easier to identify and takes discretion out
2. Universal calls: teams that are built like mine get called for stuff because of our stature. Officiating needs to be black and white! No more judgement calls. And call it the same across conferences.
3. Officiating convention: mandatory for all officials! Get their butts in one space. Lay out the rules and keep it universal. (Coaches can now teach players the rules and expect consistency)
4. Allow us to appeal foul calls! Officials are human and get it wrong a lot. Take a look at it and allow them to own their mistake! 2 per team.
These FOUR suggestions I think can help the game move fwd. there’s too much bias, opinions, and personal judgement during games! Call the game as the rules are stated!
I’m aware that there will be still room for error but I know as coaches we can sleep at night better if we know what to expect every game!

Ands what’s worse…this was an @SECOfficiating crew. But those of us who watch the ineptness of these crews week in and week out aren’t surprised. The players deserve better. The game deserves better.

"I'm just going to try and fall and see what happens. It worked out." -- Minnesota's Amaya Battle laughing on Cotie McMahon drawing a foul Battle is basically saying she was not fouled by Cotie. Yet, as we saw, Cotie was called for it. One of the very best players in the game, Cotie was only able to play for half of an NCAA tournament game because of this nonsense.

@Coach_D_Forrest Fix was in. Gonzaga coach put the narrative out there and they had to do something that game should’ve been on our home floor. The amount of disrespect this team receives is a shame.

MUST WATCH: Ole Miss has possession of the ball, ball hits the rim, and ball goes out of bounds with 20 seconds on the shot clock. Now watch the shot clock. Before the ball is inbounded, the shot clock moves to 5 seconds. Not 20 seconds, but 5. Officials don’t even notice. Then, Ole Miss gets a shot clock violation. Inexcusable.

Gonzaga head coach Lisa Fortier says the physicality of Ole Miss was a lot in this game: "There were a couple of plays where Lauren was being bear-mauled...and that was different than what she's used to." Coach Fortier goes on to say that she thinks that the physical style of play in today's game is much more common in the SEC.
