𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝟮 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗢𝗙𝗙🔥 So there’s a bit of back story to this fixture. We played North Sunderland in the Minor Cup Quater Final back in the 22/23 Season, when we were a North East Combination Side & They were sat at the top end of the Alliance Second Division. In the game we ended up missing out on penalties after a 3-3 Draw. On the day most of the lads were 18 and fresh into adults football and we ended the game with Ex Gaffer Stu Spencer up top (Pefectly Modelled On The Match Cover…) That was our first season as a squad and since then we’ve climbed 3 leagues, won a cup and reached a further 3 finals. Now we meet as the top two in the Alliance Second Division in a potential title decider. It’s a massive game for both sides so we’re hoping for a good crowd👋🏼. 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗥 𝗖𝗨𝗣 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧🏆 New Hartley 1-1 Shields (4-3 Pens) The lads exited the @NorthumFA Minor Cup at the semi final stage, after conceding a late equaliser before missing out on penalties to arguably the best 18’s side in the area. ⚽️Joel Green A very even game overall, a scrappy goal to concede and Hartley fared better in the shootout. Can’t fault anyones performance, it just wasn’t to be on the day. The Central Employment MOTM deservedly goes to centre half Lee Bishop. An absolute rock at the back once again for us.
