In contrast, the colour of the supernatant after the reaction for all three NiFe nanowires was deep brown, which Fe3+ ions are known to impart in aqueous solutions((Fig b)).(3/n)

@pramodpillai81 @ChemSci_JNCASR The colour of the supernatant after synthesis further supports this observation. (Please see Figure below). The initially green reaction solution (NiCl2 + ethylene glycol) turned completely transparent after product formation in the case of Ni NW (Fig a) (2/n)
