Layers on layers on layers. Priority of what to keep warm: Feet/Toes Hands/Fingers Head/Ears Legs For feet/toes. Bring a piece of cardboard to stand on. Not joking. 2 layers of socks. Wrap your shins and Feet in newspaper then put a plastic bag over your feet. Duct tape the plastic bags around your feet. Slide feet in boots. Feet warmer pads are good but they don't last and can make your feet sweaty and thus colder once the pads wear out. Hands/Fingers. Couple layers of gloves. Thin gloves and then thicker gloves on top of those. Hand warmer pads are good. Head and Ears: a nice full covered face mask is great. Your breath will warm your face with it. Ski cap on top of face mask with a hoody sweatshirt to pull over along with winter jacket that has a hood should be more than enough. Legs. Long johns. Maybe 2 layers. With pants over those. If you have ski/winter pants. All the better. Chest/stomach/arms. Not as essential. Your typical extra layers will do the trick. Your body heat will help you in these areas. Always bring more than you need. Get to the tailgate and hang outside and test how you're feeling and what you'll need to go inside. Again, bring extra stuff. Extra long sleeve shirts. Extra ski caps. Extra socks. Extra everything. But definitely extra socks. If you feel your socks are getting moist before you go in. Change them out. I repeat. CHANGE THEM OUT. If your feet get moist/wet, you are absolutely cooked. And finally. Drink alcohol. Never hurts to shoot a little fireball or whatever. That will help.
