William Hope Hodgson, 1877 - 1918. King of the macabre. He was great and prolific but death at 40 was too soon. The Boats of the "Glen Carrig" and House on the Borderland are some of my favorites.

@LaurasMiscMovie Stayed there years ago. If I recall correctly each room had a bedside "journal" where guests were asked to record any ghostly encounters if they dared... the journal was full of accounts from previous guests... fun stuff.

@LukeBarnett Check out the Conejo Valley Open Space if you haven't already. Great hiking up there and some interesting volcanic formations. Even a hot spring of sorts. Shot a lot of projects up in there years ago...

Kind of obsessed with our new hood. 20 miles from our last place in LA. 5 miles from this. 10 miles from the beach. Everyone insanely nice. Everything clean. 11/10. Highly recommend moving to the Conejo Valley (but only if you’re awesome).
