The main USB 3.0 PHY transceiver is discontinued so in the future people will not be able to purchase the FMC cards that other FPGAs can use for USB 3.0.

@atomicmach My current design supports only Gen2x1 (10Gbps), since SFP has only one channel pair. I'm planing to make a QSFP to Type-C module with PI2DPX2020 in the near future, which support up to USB4 Gen3x2 & DP Alt mode (20Gbps).
(Already made a QSFP to HDMI OUT module in the past)

Just made my own SFP-to-USB module!
Similar to the sfp2usb module from XillyUSB, but with a smaller Type-C receptacle instead of a Micro-B, and using CH32X035 RISC-V MCU + PI3EQX10612 redriver for automatic orientation detection & configuration.
Yet another cursed connector :P

@DroidAesthetics Material isn't a bad style, but I don't like either much at all. Some uneven spacing, menu grouping doesn't make much sense, nor the hierarchy of controls as per their size... All pretty bad for music players.

@i2cjak idk man, most of the time it's fun. Definitely sometimes the amount of nets to route becomes tedious, but it can also be something to take pride in when you do it well - managing the complexity clearly. Defo anytime I see Uni students first PCBs I get an ego boost.

TIL the hard way that earpods doesn't use resistor network to signal the volume buttons but sending ultrasound code through the mic Like I get why it might be the case but how the F am I going to read that.
