being called “african american” in the uk by my white BRITISH teachers because they were too scared to say “black” still agitates me ngl. i’m african. nigerian. simple and short. now you’ve gone and disrespected two groups of black ppl.

@Crashandmemes also a large percentage of the black population in the uk are Caribbean and would disagree with being labelled an African Briton. most people I've met either identify with the country their family immigrated from or just say they're English/Scottish/Welsh without a racial caveat

@Crashandmemes americans are more focused on their immigrant origins and label themselves as such (italian-american, polish-american, etc) but if their ancestors were trafficked as slaves families struggle to pinpoint their country of origin past the continent of africa, hence african-american

I’m not sure how people can justify abortion with ultrasound technology. Here is a picture of my 13 week anatomy scan. The level of detail is amazing. They took pictures of the brain, heart, lungs, arms, legs, etc. What doubt can there be that this is a human being?

@dollshojo it's also worth pointing out that a child is unlikely to begin grooming and assaulting a toddler without witnessing/experiencing abuse at some stage. that absolutely doesn't excuse any cocsa but it shows it's often a cycle of abuse and violence not an act of attraction

She revealed her battle with endometriosis, detailing multiple surgeries and the ongoing fight for better women's health awareness. She said in the post that doctors have removed more than 50 endometriosis lesions from her body since early 2023. She also had a chocolate cyst taken out that was sticking her ovary to her side, along with an appendectomy and hernia repair. But here's the part where I'm sure many of you will relate. She went years where doctors didn't believe her. Irwin explained she dealt with severe, constant pain for a full decade before getting a proper diagnosis. Doctors had brushed it off as something women just have to live with, leaving her feeling weak and insecure as a teen and young adult. She described being trapped in her own body during that time. This comes as March, designated Endometriosis Awareness Month, draws to a close. In her post, Irwin called on people to keep the invisible condition in mind year-round and show compassion to the millions affected. She stressed that raising awareness for endometriosis and women's health overall can stop others from suffering quietly.
