@sidvee This episode was so captivating I forgot to get off at my stop in the metro in my daily commute! Realised I was 2 stops past my office, and had to backtrack :D

If Morgan had instead grown up playing K-Block basement cricket at IIMB, he'd have developed a brilliant off side on-the-ground game. @atulyarb @VikasKulai

@gauravsabnis I remember reading a review of a place in Goreme, Turkey where the reviewer had basically asked "We are a group of 16 people coming next week. Do you have Jain options?". I think about that a lot.

The confidence to go to a Mexican-Californian restaurant in Hoboken New Jersey and give it 2 stars cos "No Jain (without onion/garlic) food options available." 👏👏🤣🤣

@VikHasya In contrast in China, people will always drink piping hot water/tea no matter the season. Took me a while to remember to ask for ‘ice water’ in traditional restaurants to avoid getting boiling hot water.

Never understood the love to drink freezing cold water and beer even in the middle of winter in Western countries. Any particular reason why?

Random hypothesis based on very few data points - Indian women (with a career) nowadays change name after marriage only if the new name has a “higher caste connotation” than the old one.

To have a “successful trip” when flying out of bangalore I need to see the board of what used to be the “national bureau of agriculturally important insects”. Anyway now I’m on my way back from an intense work trip to Goa. And I see long lines to cross into south india

For those that lack context - south india ends at Hebbal flyover. Everything north of that is north india.

@udupendra Then again, I haven’t been to Blossoms since 2019 and my ‘to be read’ pile had dwindled from several dozen to (slightly fewer) several dozen.

@udupendra I find I’m more capable of buying zero books than 8. When I tell myself I’m ‘just browsing’, I either manage to just browse and buy nothing (25% of the time), or once I pick up the first book, a dam breaks and I end up leaving with 13 (rest of the time).

I spent three hours at Blossoms today and bought only 8 books. I think I'm developing discipline as I get older.

@udupendra Nods approvingly that ‘north of Hebbal flyover’ is still a thing. As it should.

@tanukaushik @SandeepNarayan2 Out of a sense of obligation because it has ‘Bangalore’ in the name. But I don’t follow the IPL in any capacity to really claim a favourite team.
