At that time capitalism as we know did not exist. High mercantilism was the predominant economic driver.

@jacksonhinkle Karl Marx debunked himself. He misclassified high mercantilism and feudalism, the world that he grew up in, with capitalism. That he couldn't get the basics right negates his entire theory.
