I’m so proud of this kid. About a year ago, I was fired up to coach Aubree Spitzner in her final AAU season. Great kid. Great family. Dedicated. Loyal. Physical. One of the hardest workers you’ll ever meet. Then she tore her ACL. She was crushed. We all were. But instead of feeling sorry for herself, Aubree focused on what she could do. She kept showing up, cheering on her teammates, and proving that sports aren’t just about minutes played... they’re about how you show up for others. Congrats on your commitment to Grinnell, Aubree. S40 has come to an end with the Wisconsin Lakers as the U17 champions! Thank you to my coaches and team for the support and growth. There is no other team I’d rather have spent this summer with. Special thank you to Hamilton, Ohio for having us and to all the coaches who watched.
