"Just get started."
An uninformed recommendation for starting... anything new.
I used to tell myself "Just get started" thinking It would help me get a project going.
Have you ever tried to walk in complete darkness? Can't know what the fuck you'll run into. Scared to take a step.
Same with planning & thinking through projects.
Without having a day-clear foundation for what you're doing you might stub your toe on a chair.
So sit back, don't relax, think and plan. Take notes and understand WHY you're doing it. Become aware of the risks.
Shed light into the darkness of uncertainty. KNOW that the next step you take Is NOT a toe-stubbing one. Or if It might be - don't go all in.
Ask yourself questions like:
Does it make sense to do considering where You want to be in 5 years? What Is your desired outcome of that project? What Are the next steps? What are potential flaws in your plan?
And gain confidence by knowing what you're doing because you planned it out to the best of your ability.
Make based decisions.
Make it easier "to get started" by getting started and thinking it through.
