very good to know! I feel like as I get older, I’m really deeping that you will ABSOLUTELY 100% “lose” friends to all these things. I was so sure a couple years ago that this was impossible lmao maybe I’m naive

As someone who is 41, single and childfree this is true. Friends will be lost to marriage, babies and the suburbs. Build a community, find hobbies and realise that you only really ever have yourself. I learnt this the hard way.

“You only ever have yourself” is something I’m definitely struggling accept. Surely that cannot be the case. However, the beautiful part of this is that your community can change & that’s perfectly ok!

Also I ask if you are decentering men and not wanting kids. Please do not rely on your friends entirely, people change their minds. Just make sure you have the plan for you. Be in communities that are like minded. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU BECOME ELDERLY! Please join clubs
