We’re hiring a Rust engineer to develop MEV and block-building systems at the core of Ethereum. The ideal fit writes high performance Rust, understands EVM execution mechanics deeply, and is familiar with the transaction supply chain.

this is so f*cking scary - a txn made 9 months ago to transfer just $5 ended up causing a $30K loss. TLDR: → a txn was approved 9 months ago → to interact with the ThirdWeb Universal Bridge → Infinite approval was given (just for a $5 transfer) → a vulnerability in the contract was discovered in April → but the contract remained active onchain, including the blog referencing the affected contract address → vulnerability allowed anyone to drain funds from users with infinite approval → the hacker waited 9 months for the user to deposit a substantial amount → And boom - $30K gone in a single txn → funds were sent to Railgun, so can’t be traced → thirdWeb permanently disabled the legacy affected contract after the hack was disclosed → the blog referencing the affected (now-disabled) contract address is still live I don’t even know whom to blame here. It’s honestly a shame that after all these years of building, crypto users still have to deal with stuff like this and this user is literally one of the smartest people in the industry.

Last night around 5pm I sat down to do some work. I opened my Rabby wallet to try out Espresso's new cross-chain mint product, Presto, that Rarible had just put live on mainnet. When I opened my wallet, I immediately saw that $30k was missing...

airdrop farming used to be the easiest money in crypto, now it’s basically a full-time job with minimum wage 2020 uni: did 1 swap got like $12k 2021 ens: registered a name $15k airdrop (no points, no seasons) 2022 aptos: minted a free nft on testnet $3k for clicking a button 2023 arbitrum: bridged once, did a few txs another $3k 2025: you farm 100k+ volume, do 200+ txs, mint nfts, borrow/lend, beg for xp on discord, pretend to be active in 20 communities, write threads, post content, farm 8 different point systems for 6 months straight… and they hit you with: here’s $50 (20% tge, rest 4-year vesting)

landed in dubai yesterday and i told my uber driver i don’t have cash > driver opens the Ziina app, types number in > i’m like what’s this? > driver: go on tap it. > i tap my card. > payment done i’m standing there mind blown 🤯 wtf just happened. businesses don’t need to buy the payment devices anymore. friends don’t need to wait or follow up - just split the bill right away Ziina is a 2021 YC startup and has raised $22M currently only available in UAE 🇦🇪 (i’m guessing that’s because it’s super safe here) isn’t it funny that the biggest blocker for this product to reach global adoption is not competitors but public safety
