Irish Aurora Chasers

A filament eruption produced a faint halo CME early Monday morning. It appears to directed towards Earth. A moderate (G2) geomagnetic storm watch was added for 14th April. Be on alert within 48-72 hours.

Bz is north unfortunately but the bt is still high at 11, so if it was to flip south there might be A chance of aurora for those in the northern half of the country especially the north coast. Some clear spells forecast for tonight too. No long drives for tonight folks.

We are now in a CIR region. Will it last to night fall. I doubt it but not impossible. More updates on this before nightfall
