AFC staff headed to Vermont for a Watershed Forestry Partnership meeting. With energy rivaling the glorious sunshine outside, scientists and practitioners shared their findings, work, & goals. Meetings like these = vital opportunities to connect, learn, and share resources.

This week's Adirondack Applied Water Quality Conference was a great opportunity to gather with colleagues from across the Park for conversations about challenges facing Adirondack freshwaters and the actions being taken to protect them.

A Secchi disk is used to measure light attenuation and apparent color in water. To use it, we slowly lower it into the water and record the depth at which it is no longer visible. The data we collect gives us information about lake metabolism and health over time. #ausablecenter
