2025 was a year of highs &challenges for physics. We marked 100 years of quantum through @UNESCO's #IYQ, with AIP supporting hundreds of events nationwide. As we head into 2026, we continue to champion physics, maths and the next generation.

Australia’s #IYQ2025 was a major success, supported by AIP from the @UNESCO request through to nationwide engagement. Highlights included tours by Prof Donna Strickland, the Marie Curie Lecture Series, and the Quantum & Dark Matter Road Trip. #IYQ2025 #QuantumCurious

Flavio explains their image: “My quest to build a Tesla Coil resulted in a museum quality device. The multiple banding effect seen in the discharges, known as the "Banjo Effect", is showing the operational frequency of the resonant secondary circuit each time the gap fires.”
