Our NATO ally Türkiye faces rising tensions in its neighbourhood amid the crisis in Iran. In Ankara, I met with @HakanFidan to discuss how we can work together to prevent further escalation & develop a shared path towards ending the fighting & strengthening regional stability.1/2

🇩🇪 stands in full solidarity with Qatar & all our partners in the Gulf. These attacks endanger civilians & oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz - a key artery for global energy supply. The attacks from Iran must stop & security in the Gulf must be restored without delay. 2/2

In #Doha today, I spoke with my colleague @MBA_AlThani_ at a moment when Qatar 🇶🇦 and its neighbors are being drawn into a conflict they are not involved in. Iran’s missile and drone attacks on cities, civilian infrastructure, airports, and ports are unacceptable. 1/2

The attacks on the US Embassy in Riyadh and on critical oil infrastructure in Saudi Arabia are deeply concerning. Iran must cease its indiscriminate attacks on neighbouring states, diplomatic missions and civilian infrastructure. 2/2

This evening in #Riyadh I spoke with @FaisalbinFarhan about the situation in the Middle East. We stand in solidarity with Saudi Arabia which is being drawn into this escalation despite not being party to the conflict. 1/2

The Iranian nuclear & missile programs must be halted. Iran must end its support for terrorist groups. At the same time, Iran’s territorial integrity must be preserved – chaos in Iran would have severe consequences for the region and for Europe. 3/3

The people of Israel are living under constant threat. We stand in solidarity with them in these difficult times. In my talks with @gidonsaar, I pushed for efforts to prevent further escalation. 2/3

We stand with Israel. That is why I am here as Germany’s Foreign Minister. I’m in a region at war, in a country facing daily attacks from some of its neighbors. I visited the site of an Iranian strike, seeing firsthand the damage caused. 1/3

Defending 🇪🇺 requires unity from the Eastern flank to the Mediterranean. Dear @ckombos: If Cyprus needs us, we will be there. 2/2

With the conflict in the Middle East, 🇪🇺’s security is even more under pressure. After a drone attack in #Cyprus, today in #Nicosia I assured my colleague @ckombos of Germany’s full solidarity. 1/2

Most importantly: Iran must immediately stop indiscriminate attacks on uninvolved countries and their people. 2/2

Close coordination with partners in the Gulf is essential in these tense times. Tonight in Nicosia I met with @ABZayed of the 🇦🇪 @mofauae. Our shared goal: prevent further military escalation in the region and avert a severe energy crisis. 1/2
