Much much practice in letting go; autistic sensibility is to reflexively rage - only middle way I can think of is to use Socratic method i.e. be a smartarse. Small enlightenments perhaps possible

The only job I have been successful and lasting in is the one in which the autistic manager put a stop to all of the bullshit and forced everybody to be clear and precise

My biggest hurdle to co-existing peacefully in this society is that I can't just acquiesce to blatant bullshit

I see why now the last three years of being medicated have resulted in me doing pretty much the same things every day, i.e. becoming "more autistic" when medicated as somebody with both conditions. Overall, I would choose medication, though the Dionysian drive is somewhat missed.

iii) food and music much more compelling + rewarding; iv) big desire to seek out novelty; sense of boredom or listlessness and craving; v) overall sense of fun is heightened, but I feel quite useless.

Taking a break from ADHD meds to see what happens. Current observations: i) started a task I do every morning and got 5 minutes in before I gave up; ii) couldn't even start the next task I normally do every day

Autistic burnout is basically a situation when you’ve done too much, for too long, with too little support. And your body, mind, spirit, is trying to protect you by shutting down so that you can’t overexert any more on this harmful path. #AutisticBurnout #Burnout #Autistic

This community has been a great aid during times of hardship & isolation. However I also see the harm in dwelling in suffering, which is what this platform often becomes for me. So farewell for now, may we all find peace and compassion in the face of suffering

Very excited to soon stop more of my dealings with the NHS, ironically a source of chronic stress and burnout in my life. It really is exhausting trying to make people who don't understand you provide you with adequate care.

The things that have actually had demonstably positive effects on my wellbeing are *checks notes* cannabis, MDMA, ketamine, small amounts of alcohol and nicotine.

Medical cannabis is making a big difference to my quality of life. I've now tried 6 different mainstream psych meds and they all either did nothing or made me considerably worse.

What are the people who are not breaking down every experience into multiple categories and then finding ways to synthesise them into systems thinking about?
