Mother in laws are so important. When you have a good one you don’t even notice it, but a bad mother in law is like a curse from the gods.

Susannah from The Summer I Turned Pretty sounds like an absolute nightmare of a boymom. Can you imagine if she had lived and some other unfortunate girl had to marry the spare son not lucky enough to be chosen by Belly. Susannah would be so mean to her

In the past two weeks, two things have happened that have never happened to me before. I received a partial turned full and two maybe piles turned full requests. I take back what I said about maybe piles just being rejection limbo 😆😆 there is hope for them.

What's a theme you find frequently in your writing? For me, I write a lot about grief, death, madness, & forms of entrapment. Also, not a theme, but I like to focus on a character’s eyes a lot 👀 they are windows to the soul, after all. I also use a lot of ocean metaphors 😅

What's a theme you find frequently in your writing? I subconsciously write FMC's who feel trapped by people and/or their environment and long to escape. This line is from a micro fiction piece, but could apply to several of my stories too. "I’d rather live a short life in that warm light than die safe within these walls."
