Not many of you will know of the man in the first picture, his name is Dr Richard A E North. He is a well known political researcher and analyst, author and a blogger. Now you may be wondering what connection he has to Farage? Of course, British soldiers must be accountable for their actions under UK and international law, including the Law of Armed Conflict. They are also rightly expected to comply with the specific Rules of Engagement issued in relation to each operation they are deployed on. Furthermore, the reporting, legal and judicial tools are already in place to ensure they answer for any violations. However, I can speak from experience in saying that our soldiers, in the incredible speed and chaos of close battle, are the epitome of professionalism. Their job is the controlled application of overwhelming violence in an environment in which their enemies are doing their utmost to kill them. This is no Hollywood film or computer game. People die, and as Shakespeare wrote, “…there are few die well that die in a battle.” In the dust, noise, immediacy, chaos, concussion, smells, trauma and adrenaline that characterise infantry engagements, Britain’s soldiers are unsurpassed in their ability to apply that overwhelming violence in accordance with the Rules of War and their Rules of Engagement. Anyone who has experienced that sort of engagement relives it over and over and over again. It is at once exhilarating, terrifying and traumatising, and you never lose the horror of hearing the sound that instantly tells you that one of yours has had a bullet rip into their body. Yet, while all that is going on, your training and professionalism are such that you instinctively comply with the Rules of War. I am not saying that in the heat of battle things do not happen that should not. But for any British lawyer to effectively “hunt” for further tools to go after our service personnel as though it is some sort of intellectual or professional challenge is a grotesquely arrogant and deeply unpatriotic act. For such a person to become our Prime Minister is deeply concerning. Keir Starmer appears to be a man who would send British soldiers into battle and then encourage his Attorney General to find inventive ways to prosecute them for doing their job in circumstances that, luckily for him, are completely beyond his comprehension. I was on a flight with a very cheerful flight attendant, who was clearly gay and made everyone smile as he served us food and drinks. As we were getting ready to land, he came down the aisle in a fun way and announced, “Captain Marvey asked me to tell you that he’ll be landing the big, scary plane soon. So, lovely people, please put your trays up – that would be super.” As he walked back down the aisle, he saw a well-dressed woman, who looked a bit Arabic, hadn’t moved her tray. He said, “Maybe you didn’t hear me over the loud engines, but I asked you to raise your trazy-poo so the main man can get us safely on the ground.” The woman calmly turned to him and said, “In my country, I’m called a Princess and I don’t take orders from anyone.” Without missing a beat, the flight attendant replied, “Well, sweet-cheeks, in my country I’m a Queen, so I outrank you. Tray up, Bitch.” I had to close comments for a while because of some rude and negative responses. But after a few months and a reminder from Kathy, I realized I can just delete the nasty comments and keep going. It’s time to reopen comments and let people enjoy the humor again. Good to see the RSPCA getting more vocal on halal slaughter - I've reached out for a meeting to discuss how we can work together. This is a battle we can win. We can get meat properly labelled, and then we can get non-stun slaughter fully banned.

Non-stun slaughter. Halal/Kosher. What does the British public really think? I tabled a motion in Parliament pushing for a ban and just seven MPs signed - out of 650. So Restore Britain asked Find Out Now to poll the British people on the following two questions... The government should require meat sold in shops and restaurants to clearly state how the animal was slaughtered. A staggering 66% agree. Just 8% disagree. This is important. Labelling would essentially bankrupt the industry and act as a ban. Let's push for labelling. But on an outright ban itself? A policy almost no MP will touch? I am abused and accused for raising it in Westminster. 55% want a ban. On both halal and kosher. 55%. Just 12% don't want a ban. An enormous majority want to ban ALL non-stun slaughter. Labour won't ban it. Farage has said he wouldn't ban it. Lib Dems obviously wouldn't. Conservatives? Don't know. The disconnect between politicians and the people is absolutely huge. Quite frankly, they are scared of offended Muslims. My view? This is Britain. As a farmer, I can say that we care deeply for our animals in this country. We should not put them through brutal and unnecessary suffering. The campaign to ban halal and kosher slaughter really starts today. I now know that the majority of the British people are with me.
