There are multiple protections for failure modes adjacent to slippage. The most conservative one: the NAV Decay Hook. It monitors NAV per share against the portfolio's own 30, 60, and 90-day history. If all three windows show a decline, rebalancing pauses automatically. No single dramatic event needed. Sustained quiet erosion across multiple timeframes is enough to stop the system.
