Yesterday I learned that RWF 8 will be my last event at Team Liquid. Gonna be posting more reflections once the Race is over, but for now, appreciate my time here at Liquid. Looking for work in events/marketing. Gg we go next 🫡

@Kexman @Cr1ngle If all those things could happen at once, I'd love to see it as a fan of the RWF myself.
If there was a centralized competition, you'd see a lot more independent teams committing full time to them as well, which is what I'd love to see one day.
Time will tell, but who knows. 😅

I've been saying this for the last 3 expansions. Why do we not have a centralised coverage that goes out twice a day?
Not to mention I've also said a physical trophy/prize money should be part of this as well.

NetEase is launching Operation Daybreak: The Raiding Initiative and MASTER LOOT will return in 12.0.5 ... for CN realm only. Starting March 24, WoW China is launching a new initiative to revitalize the CN raiding scene through several key initiatives: 1. Master Loot Returns: To ease guild management, Master Loot is returning in 12.0.5 and it's exclusively for CN realm ... at least for now. 2. CN Hall of Fame: An exclusive Mythic Raid HoF leaderboard for CN realm. The first 50 guilds to clear the three new 12.0 raids will receive custom-made physical trophies. 3. Official Recruitment Platform: A new web/app platform syncing directly with the in-game Meeting Stone addon(CN premade group addon), featuring one-click BNET friend requests. 4. Official RWF Coverage: WoW CN is hiring community creators to provide dedicated RWF coverage across official channels. 5. CN RWF Bounty: The CN RWF prize pool now totals 1.6 million RMB. Each of the three new raids adds 200k RMB to the pool. The 500k RMB bonus for a Top 3 finish remains active.

@Kexman They see the vision of a more globalized race where the teams go back to solely competing and letting production and everything else outside of playing the game be handled by an organizer.
NetEase has the capital to burn and is equivalent to Blizzard within CN, as it’s their IP.

@Kexman This means that selling against it as a product is incredibly difficult in the way of sponsors.
It’s a very, very complex product that lends itself to individual organizations running their own coverage.
If it was easy to get every party to agree, it’d have been done already.

@Kexman As far as TO’s hosting it go - I’ve been fortunate to have many conversations about it with nearly every one that there is to talk to.
Without Blizzard being willing to step in and get involved, it’s too much of a risk. RWF operates with no definitive end date, which is tough.
