This woman was out of town when her doorbell camera went off. It was three little boys asking if they could use her basketball hoop to play. She told them yes but that her ball was inside the house so if they went and found a ball they could play. She said she didn’t know who they were or where they lived but they could use her basketball hoop anytime so that they have a safe place to play. She is even considering buying a new rim for them. What a lady! And those boys were so polite and considerate, and that last little boy - “Thank you. You’re nice.”❤️ If kids came to your door and were polite and considerate would you let them use your basketball hoop to play?

Dilemma. What do I do with these embroidered pillowcases ? They were given to my mom at her wedding. They were embroidered by her grandma, my great great grandma. My mom never used them because /she “couldn’t ever replace them” after her grandma passed. She kept them in the linen closet in the house I grew up in. She gave them to me when I got married and yes, I’ve also kept them unused in my linen closet for 20 years. I don’t want to get rid of them (I won’t). Do I use them or keep them safely store me for future generations to not use, either?

I’ve raised my ex-girlfriend’s son, Tyler, since he was 1. We split up years ago, but she lets me co-parent because she knows I adore him. Last week, Tyler got into a bad car accident. I rushed to the ER. The nurse stopped me. 'Immediate family only,' she said. Tyler’s bio-dad (who hasn't seen him in 10 years) was listed on the birth certificate, so they called him. He showed up, smelled like booze, complaining about the drive. Tyler woke up, saw him, and started panicking. His heart rate spiked. 'Where is my dad?' he screamed. 'I want my dad!' The bio-dad tried to calm him down. Tyler pushed him away. 'Not you! Get Dave!' The doctor looked at the bio-dad, then at me standing in the hallway. The doctor opened the door for me. 'He needs his father,' the doctor said to the bio-dad. 'Please step aside.' DNA gets you in the room; love gets you the chair by the bed.
