We only go to Five Guys for the fries. My kids are obsessed. When my youngest was 3, he was home alone during the day with me, and I would take him on various outings. His favorite place to go with just me was Five Guys. He would say, “Five Guys now, please?”

@Asst_to_the_RM Interesting take - Id wager that CG knows exactly (or close to it) what he’s gonna see . We aren’t surprising anyone at that level when we do EDREs. Agree it’s a good way to get us honest about our readiness.

Told the CG today that EDREs he wants to do are only going to reveal things he doesn’t want to know. But do them anyway and use the 1st one as a warning shot to CDRs to take the subsequent ones serious & get honest about maintenance.

@AH64guntech During last rotation we had a no tattoo policy - a CAV Soldier asked me why, said I don’t know, been in command for a few days. Talked to CSM and we deleted the policy. Next thing I know Poland tattoos galore. Everyone thanked that SPC for asking. :)

This has been a momentous week. Just hit my 23 year Armyversary with the submission of my retirement packet, and sat through a 7hour tattoo session as I get ready to return to the states.
