This is unsettling. The avg med school debt is 232k yet there is no specialty where more than 27% of residents have >200k in debt. So 1/4 of med students are shouldering a debt burden so high It drives the national average to a number that majority of med students don’t have.

@DrCasteelEM The majority of medical students don’t get there loans forgiven. I graduated in 2002 and still paying my loans back. Studies show that URM have more debt then other students. The years of Residency and fellowship is not a living wage.The majority of specialities don’t pay enough

It’s easy to lose ones femininity as a surgeon (I wore ill-fitting pajamas and a hoodie on a daily basis for 5 years during training). Just bought this faux fur jacket to spruce up my scrubs for call. How do other folks in surgery add style?⁩ ⁦@LoebStacy⁩
