My son goes to a Church of England primary school, there are a handful of Muslims go there but it’s majority white Christians. My son says in RE they’ve been learning more about Ramadan, but he says the Muslim kids don’t do RE they’re allowed to leave the class and play on iPads because their parents won’t allow them to learn about other religions. he’s also been doing PSHE (personal social health and economic) classes where apparently they’ve been learning about how they should respect Muslims and other peoples faiths. I said that’s all ok but what did they teach you about lent, his reply ‘What’s lent?’!
