25 Years Ago this week! 'Hey Boy Hey Girl' was released as the first single from the Chemical Brothers' third studio album, Surrender (1999), on 26 May 1999 in Japan and on 31 May in the United Kingdom, respectively. I was 17 years old and in hugely into the rave scene. I had already been listening to @ChemBros for three years at this point. I read somewhere that Tom Rowlands and @eddychemical wrote the song around 1996 and waited until 1999 as it was ahead of its time. No doubt it was!
