Royco Dawn has tranched Avant Protocol savUSD. savUSD is @avantprotocol 's yield-bearing stablecoin, representing the Senior tranche of Avant's internal capital structure. In the event of a loss, the avUSDx Junior tranche absorbs it first. Avant also maintains an ecosystem security fund that acts as an additional layer of protection before avUSDx is impacted. Avant generates yield through an actively managed multi-strategy framework designed to adapt to market conditions by diversifying capital across basis trades, lending rate arbitrage, DEX liquidity provision, and more. Dawn tranches savUSD into Senior and Junior positions. Royco’s Senior depositors get savUSD's yield with an additional on-chain buffer absorbing losses before they're affected. Royco’s Junior depositors take on first-loss exposure in exchange for a risk premium, effectively serving as a mezzanine tranche in between Royco’s Senior and Avant’s Junior tranches. This makes savUSD accessible to a wider range of capital, and in doing so, deepens the liquidity that Avant's ecosystem can attract. We want to highlight that the Avant team is depositing their own capital into the Junior tranche. That's real skin in the game. Aave service providers have published an Aave DAO governance proposal to contribute 25,000 ETH to the ongoing DeFi United effort.
