Our househelp (20) was using Carowhite when she started working with us. Her skin wasn't evenly toned, and unpleasant to the eyes. So I bought her Advanced Clinicals vitamin C, the exact type I use, I got her soap and body oil too, to repair and brighten up her skin. I threw all that rubbish she was using away. A week in, her skin got darker, and our neighbour told her she's no longer oyinbo. I reassured her, that it'll get better with time, and that she should look at my skin. After all, we are now using the same product. This morning she had her bath and came downstairs, I perceived a weird scent I knew what it was, so I went to her room and searched the whole place. I found a cup of Carotone body lotion, and a Carotone B.S.C. in her bag. When I asked, she said people said she's no longer beautiful as she's getting darker, and she does not want to be dark, she wants to be oyinbo. So she bought them again. I took the skincare I bought her, including the oil and replaced it with vaseline. So she will no longer use both the carotone and my skincare products till further notice. No more tips too, and her atm card was seized. I have reported the woman who told her she looks ugly as she gets darker, to her husband. She's a dark woman, I don't know why she wants to ruin the girl's life.
