Looks like BC needs a new backup plan. Word is Becker has already told BC to look elsewhere as he is focusing on Siena. Obviously UNC has the world at its feet for the big fish but for everyone in the NorthEast, all eyes are on Luke Murray and his decision

@Gaelforce80 All of this stuff has been out there for a long time. Becker sits up there in anonymity - local press refuses to cover it because UVM dictates all. Becker 15 years and 6 NCAAs wins 84% of conf games...never got another job? People know.

Don’t be surprised if we get word on a BC men’s basketball coach today.
The Eagles have their Pro Day tomorrow, so overshadowing the day for those guys with a lot of the football world in Chestnut Hill wouldn’t be a great look.
I still believe it’s Jay Larranaga, but have heard Luke Murray (UConn assistant) is “in the running.”

Thoughts on expanded list. IMO Gallo is still the best option. You get upside to sell to fans and recruits. You get a guy with an established scheme. Next would be Larranaga. I know he doesn't have head coaching experience, but the resumes of all the other guys have red flags.

Why am I getting bombarded with people telling me BC should hire a coach that went 90-115 in conference play, finished over .500 in conference 4 times in 11 years and did all this with superior support to what BC would give him?

In my opinion, one key aspect of the @BCMBB Coaching Job is getting non alum, local alums fired up about BC Hoops. We need “Joe in Needham” or “Linda in Andover” coming to Conte and feeling a part of it. You need to win and create “juice” in the local community. If I were @BCBlakeJames , I would highly consider this. #JustWin

I’m on board w/Gallo as I think we need a scheme guy who can overachieve. If he’s not interested, I would roll with another mid-major guy over a retread or first timer. Local ties would be nice. A recruiting record would be nice. But winning will be system + finding portal talent
