Auriemma says that he likes how good of a Big East tournament his squad had and how they get a few days off before their next matchup.

The UConn Huskies will take on the No. 16-seeded UTSA Road Runners on Saturday! Then they will take part in the Round of 32 against the winners of No. 8 seed Iowa State and No. 9 seed Syracuse on Monday. They will then head to the Sweet 16/Elite 8 in Fort Worth, Texas.

The top-ranked UConn Huskies are your No. 1 overall seed in this year's 2026 NCAA tournament! The last time the Huskies were No. 1 overall was in 2018.
