No pilot is stupid enough to “play with switches” during takeoff. Would you—or anyone—turn off a car while it's climbing a steep hill? Absolutely not. Similarly, no aircraft can roll from the bay to the runway and take off with the fuel cut off. And no pilot in their right mind would shut off fuel to both engines immediately after liftoff. In a Dreamliner, the engine 1 and engine 2 fuel switches are separate and heavily protected to prevent any kind of accidental activation. You have to be fully conscious and deliberate to operate them. It is not something that can happen casually or by mistake. This suggestion—that the pilots shut off fuel themselves—is nothing but a blatant lie. And sadly, no authority in India today seems trustworthy enough to carry out an honest investigation. This is a clear and deliberate attempt to blame the pilots—who are no longer alive to defend themselves—in order to protect a multi-billion-dollar corporation. The truth is obvious. Shameful, but obvious. #airindiaplanecrash
