@UKGastroDr Answers: 1. I trained them 2. Yes they do 3. I don’t know - but FIT, rigid sigmoidoscopy& proctoscopy are not under their remit 4. All cases are audited & outcomes reported to the PCN. Where there is uncertainty, cases are discussed directly with me +- fast-tracked to 2ndary care

I asked questions - which isn’t unreasonable. What training have the PAs undergone to be qualified to assess via proctoscopy? Do the patients know they are being assessed by a PA? Are JAG happy with this service? What are your QA processes?
