Very over this "the intrusive thought won" trend. I have OCD and hearing this turned into a joke fucking sucks. If my intrusive thoughts "won" I would ruin my life, not make people giggle. Mental illness is not a goddamn joke.

@author_hs That’s what I’ve learned to do— start something new to put my focus on. This time I’m going to try and keep my author email off my phone, too. We’ll see how long that lasts 😂

@avraywrites If I find myself checking my email too often, I’ll change my personal schedule to do more activities that don’t require electronics so I can get a break 😅 Sometimes I’ll focus on an entirely different project, which helps me not dwell too much on the queried one.

About to add myself to the #amquerying crowd again. I've never experienced solidarity like that found among querying writers. I'd love to know #WritingCommunity what is your best self care practice while querying?
