Baltic youth may have not experienced USSR themselves but it is ‘collective memory’ of these events which are passed on through generations which make us construct the future based on our ancestor’s past. It is why we feel so strongly about what is happening, it feels personal.

Referred to Baltic countries as "formerly soviet occupied countries" in a manuscript of an article and a reviewer asked: "Were they occupied?" The ignorance is never-ending. They should look forward to my answer to them. I will not hold back.
