We are 12 votes in and no votes for @KnownOrigin_io ? My vote would have been KO because they embraced editions early.

@greenskeptic Not I. I look for what speaks to me and forget the rest. Life is too short to dwell on shit I don’t like and can’t change. I’ll choose inspiration and happiness in pieces any day.

The weather is changing and is getting cold and damp and somehow feels welcome. That is the best ending thought from the movie Sideways as it winds down and makes the movie a keeper to me by that truism alone. In vineyard or in city or in thought it feels right.

@conlan New aesthetics as behavior discovery. It may be more new than true but interesting nonetheless. What can be though has never been a lasting value quotient. In people yes in tech sort of in art not as yet.

Lifelon art collector and digital collector since there was such a thing. I stare with awe at a Lichtenstein on my wall for decades now and feel lucky to have it though never think about it’s value. Digital art however seems the opposite and its liquidity makes value everything.

In search of a word... In documentary filmmaking there is an endless discussion about how to get the shot without influencing it, how to set the scene without impacting the naturalness of the situation. True is conservation photography and eco tourism as well. Thoughts?

@awaldstein That can be an aspiration, but, as long as the subject knows he's being filmed, his behavior will always be influenced by that. And filming without the subject knowledge opens a whole new set of issues!

@awaldstein This looks pretty invasive though, and apparently he smiled for the cameras too.

@OysterUranus that's the truth of it but there is an ethical term that i can't for the life of me capture for something i'm writing. i remember the discussions around how when they were making Free Solo they needed to always be out of line of sight so he could climb as to distract him.

@obxium I've thought the same thing. Also I think the artist base is growing faster than the collectors.

@avc 1/2, re business books: I am floored by some rock star author books, such as Life by Keith Richards, and It's So Easy by GnR's Duff McKagan. These are amazing entrepreneurs in a tough field, with great stories to learn from.

@avc 2/2, re podcasts: for me, it's 100% about my routine and where I live. In NYC (on subways a lot), and in CA in the car a lot, I'm a captive audience for them. But elsewhere, real-time spoken audio doesn't fit my routine.
