Yesterday, @SecKennedy and I signed a memorandum of understanding to explore whether psychedelic drugs might play a role in saving the lives of Veterans and others with serious mental illness. Proud to work for an administration that puts Veterans FIRST. 🇺🇸

Thank you, Secretary Collins, for partnering with me to advance rapid-acting psychedelic treatments for veterans—an issue we've been discussing since our first week in office. Thanks to @POTUS' leadership, we're going to ensure our veterans receive the best care our nation can provide.

@BreitbartNews A stick on a roomba glided up to me in Kroger the other day, claiming to be "checking inventory" I damn right kept my eye on that thing. I'd prefer not to be in the room with that dog.

Path To Manliness
Path To Manliness@PathToManliness·
I get why kids aren’t racing to get their driver’s licenses anymore. Cars are expensive. Insurance is absurd. Gas isn’t cheap. A trip through the Taco Bell drive-thru somehow requires a consultation with your financial advisor. But young bucks, listen to the millennial: You are massively overestimating how much money is required to have fun. We were broke too. We just had lower standards. Millennials would pile six people into a 1994 Toyota Previa with a check engine light that had achieved permanent residency. Someone knew a lake. Someone’s older brother knew how to acquire questionable booze. Someone had $11. Download every fast food app on your phone. Become a scholar of the value menu. Split gas. Buy a football. Find a swimming hole. Go fishing with equipment your dad hasn’t touched since 2004. Build a fire where you’re legally allowed to build a fire. Go to minor league baseball games. High school football games. Free concerts. County fairs. Hiking trails. Run a stupid 5K together. Get six friends and invent a competition so poorly organized someone nearly loses a shoe. Stop waiting for entertainment to be sold to you. That’s the trap. You think “going out” means spending $80 at a restaurant, buying $17 cocktails and paying $40 to park because that’s what adults on Instagram do. You’re 17. Your advantage is that nobody expects you to have any money. Get your license if you can. Get a shitty car. Find five good friends. Then go. The lake is still there. The woods are still there. The girls are still out there. Taco Bell still occasionally makes serious accounting errors on its app. Your youth is too valuable to spend complaining that fun got expensive. Become cheaper. Become more creative. Go make some stories. Just have one of you stay sober and drive the shitty van home.
Slow News Day@SlowNewsDayShow

A used car that runs well enough that you'd put your 16yr old in will run you $6-16k. Insuring a teenager is $3-5k a year. Gas is $4/gal nationally. Fast food costs $15-20. Hanging out almost anywhere is illegal. There's not a ton of incentive unless your parents are loaded

Isn’t it weird how little vitriol most people have for Fauci even after we all know he actually invented the COVID virus & 100% lied about it? Also 100% lied about it causing the Covid pandemic. People who wanted your kids taken away if you didn’t give them a completely unnecessary vaxx, wanted you to be unable to work & support your family, have zero animosity toward the mad scientist & criminal who is responsible for all this? I know it has to do with their beliefs about Trump Bad & Fauci (science) good. Those are load bearing beliefs. If you take those beliefs away their entire world view & self identity will collapse. It’s a definite flaw in what seems like the majority of humans. It should be studied, cuz it certainly seems like something that makes human extinction possible.
Rand Paul@RandPaul

For years, Anthony Fauci funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, then lied about it. Declassified documents show he didn't just fund it, he personally shaped what the intelligence community told the American people about COVID's origins. 18 agencies relied on his guidance. On July 29th at 10 am, he will testify publicly before my Committee because the American people deserve the truth once and for all.

1. Okay @RealCandaceO , you want to go there. Cool. Here's a thread on the reality of Russia from the perspective of an ordinarily invisible American. I first travelled to Russia in 2024 because I wanted to see for myself what it was about, with specific focus on the sanction regime and how it was impacting life for an ordinary Russian. I revisited twice since then, just to ensure my understanding was not misplaced. What I write below is not from a guided tour, not from an organized visit through contact with anyone of significance in Russia. This is simply an American who figures out a way how to get a visa when it was exceptionally complicated during the Biden administration and returned twice thereafter - the latter when Trump took office. Warning to readers. This will be a long thread, because I will take you on the full journey - beginning in 2024.
Jody Chase@JodyChaseTN

🔥🔥 JUST IN: Candace Owens is encouraging people to visit Russia, saying everything Americans have been told about the country is “a lie.” She says the streets are cleaner, the food is better, and after visiting, she came away believing it’s OUR society that’s in decline — not theirs. 👀

Now this is mind blowing Joe Rogan “Kids Wish Network: - They raised $127 million - They paid to solicitors $109 million - They spent large percentage on direct cash - Aid to the actual kids is ONLY 2.5% - Look at the Cancer Fund of America. LESS THAN 1% went to the actual thing”⠀ I looked more into this and it’s mind blowing - In 2012 they raised $18.6 million, but only $240,000 went to actually granting wishes. That only about 1.3% - Overall over a 10 year period only about 2.5% or less was direct aid - Founder Mark Breiner pocketed almost $5 million Cancer Fund of America is even worse - They raised tens of millions. One of several linked orgs totaling over $187 million across their entire network - Professional solicitors took 80+ cents of every dollar - Less than 1% went to actual patient aid in many years These orgs were shut down after FTC and multi-state actions in 2015. It was one of the largest charity fraud cases at the time

@mtaibbi I wrote sentences when I was a kid. It kind of worked. I can't say I remember what sentences I wrote but it was meant to be disciplinary, and it was miserable, so there's that. Better than a good ol' fashion spanking? Maybe. More effective? Probably not but I was a growing boy.

No, but it wouldn’t be cool to make a grown person go sit in a corner either. The idea is to prevent adults from having compelled opinions.

@mtaibbi I'm all about free speech even speech that I hate. However, is it wrong for a 5 grade teacher to make a student write "I will not write on the walls," 100 times on the chalkboard?
