Anthony Bourdain on Brad Bird’s Ratatouille:
“I think it’s quite simply the best food movie ever made. The best restaurant movie ever made. Best chef movie.
The tiny details are astonishing: The faded burns on the cooks’ wrists. The ‘personal histories’ of the cooks. The attention paid to the food.
And the Anton Ego Ratatouille epiphany hit me like a punch in the chest. Literally breathtaking.
I saw it in a theater entirely full with adults and the reaction to that moment was what movie making was once — a long time ago — all about: Audible surprise, delight, awe, and even a measure of enlightenment.
I am hugely and disproportionately proud that my minuscule contribution (if any) early, early in the project’s development led to a ‘thank you’ in the credits. Amazing how much they got ‘right’.”
Bourdain even visited Pixar HQ to give a chat during the film’s production.

I've been working with younger execs and collaborators recently and am coming to realize I need to update my references and comparisons to older films because they simply don't know them.

Darren is the award-winning composer and audio director for @SupergiantGames , known for his unforgettable work on Hades, Transistor, Pyre, Bastion. Not only did he write, record the music, but he also provided the singing voice for Orpheus and the voice of Zagreus himself. 🎤 @AshBarrett No journey through the Underworld is complete without her mesmerizing vocals. Ashley has been the musical soul of Supergiant Games for over a decade. Her powerful, emotional performances have captured the hearts of gamers worldwide, making her live performances a truly ethereal experience. 🎤 @JudyAliceLee Actor, musician, and recording engineer. A UCLA graduate and second-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
