This NIT Championship is not the goal this team hoped for all year. With that being said, it’s so good to see this season end on a positive note. This team chose to play, not quit. They fought tooth and nail, when it wasn’t easy and I commend them for that. Steven has a lot to improve heading into year 2, but his guys play for him and I’ll give him that. War Damn Eagle 🦅

Coaches jumping ship after a single season is exactly why I will never get mad at players hitting the transfer portal. There has never been real consistency or loyalty from coaches—they constantly leave to chase money and better situations. Why should we expect players to act any differently? The portal simply leveled the playing field between the two sides.
